John Vincic

Principal

John Vincic founded Oakstrom Advisors (formerly Vincic Advisors) in 2014 with the goal of providing world-class counsel and solutions to clients. He has more than 20 years of experience as a professional communicator specializing in investor relations and financial communications.

John has led the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for companies in a broad cross- section of industries both as an external consultant and in an internal capacity.

Prior to founding his own firm, John was Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications from 2009 to 2014 at Hudbay Minerals, a Toronto-based international mining company. He spent six years as Executive Vice President at one of Canada’s leading investor firms, where he advised clients on various matters including ongoing investor engagement strategies, IPO communications, mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests and special situations. He has held senior corporate communications positions with Royal Bank of Canada and Sun Life Financial Inc.

John has served as a volunteer member of the board of directors for the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, is a former member of the Public Affairs Committee at the Mining Association of Canada and was a board member for the Canadian-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce.

Jeff Codispodi

Jeff Codispodi has more than two decades of experience in capital markets communications. He has counseled more than 50 public companies, helping them build relationships, strengthen communications, fund growth, and define capital markets strategies.

Jeff has held senior investor relations positions at Rogers Communications, COM DEV International and Tim Hortons. Prior to these roles, Jeff was Vice President at IR consulting firm TMX Equicom where he advised a range of issuers.

He began his consulting career at IPO roadshow boutique firm McInerney & Company. His IPO experience includes companies such as Sun Life Financial, Research in Motion (BlackBerry), Royal Host REIT, Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corp, Bridgewater Systems, and Avigilon Corporation.

Jeff graduated with a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and an MBA from Schulich School of Business.

Crystal Quast

Senior Advisor

Crystal Quast has more than 15 years of senior media relations and corporate communications experience. She has worked with dozens of publicly traded companies across a wide range of industries to develop and execute successful media strategies.

In a previous role, Crystal was the Senior Director of Media Relations at IR consulting firm TMX Equicom. Crystal works closely with clients to develop and implement media relations strategies that are both proactive and impactful. She leverages her international network of contacts across both traditional print and broadcast media, as well as web-based platforms, to maximize exposure for her clients. In this role, she works closely with C-suite executives preparing them for various interview scenarios including live on air, live to tape and print. Her experience includes supporting clients through special situations such as M&A, shareholder activism, takeover defense, and proxy contests.

Crystal has significant direct media experience, including five years as a producer and writer at Business News Network (now BNN Bloomberg TV). She began her career at First Marathon Securities working on the institutional and retail sales desks.

Crystal is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and holds a BA in Economics.

David Jan, based in Vancouver, B.C., is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with more than 25 years of experience in progressively senior financial communications and management.

For the past decade, David has been leading and delivering results driven investor relations and corporate communication programs for various public companies, including Canfor Corp., Western Coal Corp., Mercator Minerals Ltd, Nevsun Resources Ltd, and Entrée Resources Ltd.

With his strong financial acumen, David has worked with companies, both in-house and as an external consultant, to develop and implement investor relations strategies, execute goal-driven investor relation programs, provide mergers and acquisition support, and realize corporate communication outreach programs.

David believes in applying his experiences to the communities in which he is connected. This includes currently volunteering as a board member for Island Pacific School and in coaching youth baseball and soccer. His past volunteer experiences include being Treasurer for various non-profit organizations, board member for the BC Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) and various educational committees of the BC Chapter of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) association.

Michael Joyner

Michael Joyner, based in Toronto, is a seasoned communications and finance executive with more than 15 years of investors relations and corporate development expertise, primarily in the resources sector.

His public clients have included Endeavour Mining, IAMGold, First Quantum Minerals, Lepidico, Nautilus Minerals, Mercator Minerals, Belvedere Resources, and Laurentian Goldfields, amongst other private mining companies. Michael led the Canadian office for Australian based Waratah Coal and played a key role in the development and implementation of the company’s strategic business opportunities in North America and Europe.

Prior to his work in the investor relations sector, Michael was a senior member of a major Canadian mutual fund company with key expertise in market analysis and commentary for its investors.

He graduated with a BSc from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

Treva Thompson

Director, Client Services

Based in Toronto, Treva has nearly two decades of capital markets experience and is responsible for all aspects of roadshow logistics management.

In this role, she supports clients for both deal- and non-deal roadshows as well as their participation at broker sponsored investor conferences. Treva provides logistics and other support for client events including annual and special shareholder meetings, investor days, and site visits. She also works closely with clients to support their investor targeting and CRM initiatives.

In her most recent role, she oversaw the corporate access function for Morgan Stanley Canada where she was responsible for coordinating non-deal roadshows and marketing for U.S. based issuers in Canada. Prior to that she worked as an institutional equity sales assistant for a Canadian bank-owned brokerage.

She holds an Honours BA from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and has completed the Canadian Securities Course.
